Almost embarrassing such a gastronomy in such a dreamlike setting. The castle is really worth seeing, but this self-service restaurant is horrible and expensive. The baked potato was totally tasteless and lukewarm, the accompanying salad withered and the wraps with salmon ice-cold and the consistency of an old cardboard box. We have never eaten this bad before.

The salad with chicken strips is similar to a gas station salad with cold meat, only this one costs € 8.50. Quality is different.

Is really the last and too overpriced. Don't take the wraps, they'll be served on a piece of cardboard wrapped in foil (no idea how long they've been in the fridge) they stuck to the cardboard. 🤔 P.S. We were in the self-service area, the restaurant was closed, I can't say whether that was due to corona. 🖑

Carry sausage pre-cooked, but if there is nothing, that's good. Affordable prices, drinks around 2.5-5 euros, snack around 5 euros

So the gastronomy up there is unfortunately a disaster. The only employee was probably on break and must be called. There is no card payment. The beer for 4.50 is then not poured out but placed on the counter with glass. "Here do it yourself". Not recommendable. unfortunately without alternative.

The bad reviews are no accident. In principle, this gastronomy lives only from the fact that there is no alternative and that guests never come back. The host could not explain why coffee is served in a paper cup, but beer is served in a glass. There were cheeky comments for free. Food, if any, average. I expect more at the price. The two stars are for the location and the clean toilets. Conclusion: Better eat and take a picnic next to the castle.

The ribs were cold and tough, the bones were firm in the flesh and there was only plastic as cutlery.

Satisfied. The restaurant is a former horse stable. Very nicely decorated. Friendly service.

The self service is reflected in the taste of the "finished dishes" again! Never again...

Unfortunately, one of the worst "restaurants" I have personally visited so far: The food is apparently precooked, but unfortunately of inferior quality and after the order at the front desk only briefly warmed up - our two soups and two main courses were finished after a few minutes Table. You could taste it too: the food looked clearly not freshly prepared and tasted really bad. Also the cake, which we tried afterwards (Donauwelle), was of inferior quality and tasted like finished product. The only good thing is the ambience within the Marienburg, which alone is not enough to recommend this restaurant.

The cake was delicious Unfortunately, the gentleman on the cake counter pretty lousy. Too bad that such local with much potential with bad food shine as you can read in the reviews

The choice of food is a disaster

We were brunch today. I have never experienced such a poor buffet. The service was not exactly efficient. The ordered champagne took 20 minutes. Semi-dry white wine was not available. Glasses for juices, cutlery, ect you had to individually order. Both the cold and the hot buffet was supplemented only with requests "something". I mean, not just before the end, but at 12:30 h. So with the prices you can expect a bit more commitment. By the way, the atmosphere is very nice. With a scale of 1-10, I can only give a maximum of ne 4.😢😢

The food was old and not hot. The potato pancakes were so old and warmed up that they were inedible. The baked potato was lukewarm and therefore not fresh. The dressing of the salad was tasted absolutely nothing, not even a touch of taste. Therefore, the food was ready even after not even 10 minutes with good operation. Absolutely outrageous prices for the poor quality of the food. Not recommendable.

The food was quickly picked up (self-service). However, the potato pancakes were old, sticky and cold. The baked potato unfortunately the same. With a lot of salt, you could cover the taste halfway. The salad or the dressing did not taste good. Very disappointing for the price.

Just come from the brunch. We can not understand the negative reviews at all. Very nice staff, attentive without being intrusive. The breakfast was plentiful and varied, everything the normal person eats for breakfast. The lunch was delicious and fresh. Everything was there, from fish to meat and vegetables. No waiting, refilled plenty. For 26 euros had a very nice day in a nice atmosphere. Thick praise again for the service.

Very nice ambience, but unfortunately our Sunday brunch was a total flop! M. E. simply has to be offered more for 26 €, disappointing selection of moderate quality. Too bad.

Fantastic castle, but the kitchen leaves a lot to be desired. Better to take a couple of chairs with you and eat somewhere else.

Service very friendly and quick. Fried potatoes and the mushrooms were really delicious. The potato wedges too. Like homemade. I found the prices just as reasonable. Definitely worth a recommendation.
